How do I check to see if I have an Ethernet card?
On a desktop computer:
Look at the back of your computer. You will notice that there are six to eight slots. Some of these slots have devices installed (e.g. the monitor, printer or keyboard), while others may be covered with a metal plate. Check the occupied slots for what looks like a wide telephone jack with 8 gold contacts inside. This is your Ethernet card. If you have an Ethernet card, you are ready to install the DSL modem.
If you do not have an Ethernet card, you will have to install one to use Look DSL. You can either install it yourself following the manufacturer's instructions, or you can have a computer retailer install it for you.
On a laptop computer:
Find a port on your laptop that looks like a telephone jack. The network port is wider than the standard telephone jack and has eight gold contacts inside. This is your Ethernet card.
If you do not have an Ethernet card, you will have to install one to use Look DSL. You can either install it yourself following the manufacturer's instructions, or you can have a computer retailer install it for you.

Yes. Look is committed to offering you the best service. Should you have any
problems with your service or equipment, please feel free to give us a call at 1-
800-356-LOOK(5665) and we'll do our best to assist you.
To subscribe to Look Wireless Internet service you will have to buy a high speed
modem.
Cable speeds can drop when many people in your neighborhood are online at the
same time, most likely to happen after work or on the weekends. The entire
Internet is a shared environment. Even though the local telephone company claims
that DSL is not shared, it is not accurate. All connections are shared. With cable,
they're shared on a smaller scale, so it's more noticeable.
The Look Wireless Internet service is always connected to the Internet. All you
have to do is click on your browser icon to start surfing. If you set your Email
software to check periodically, you will automatically be notified without having to
dial-in, sign-in or even log-in!
Currently self-installation is not supported. Look UltraFast requires a small antenna
that will need one of our technicians to install. This antenna is attached to your
home, usually on the roof. In addition, we will need to make sure you have a
coaxial connection to your computer.
