Maintenance plan, Service and Equipment*

Description

The Plan of Service and Replacement of Equipment (PSRE) of Look aims at ensuring the costs associated with dispatch of a technician and/or the repair and/or the replacement of equipment and/or defective wiring.

Includes:

Covered within the Plan of maintenance, all the expenses connected to:

  • Justified travelling expense of a technician.
  • Replacement of the following defective equipment, originally coming from Look:

    • Digital receiver
    • Remote Control (replacement by mail only)
    • I.R. Blaster (replacement by mail only)
    • Wireless Internet Service Modem
    • Smart card (No replacement of card, if the card is defective the receiver must be replaced)

  • Defective internal and/or external video wiring and/or connectors.
  • Defective antenna.
  • Service problem associated with poor weather conditions.
  • Dispatching a technician for loss of line of sight.

Exclusions:

  • Un-justified requests:
    Any dispatch of a technician made expressly at the request of the subscriber and not by a technical problem confirmed by our Technical Support staff with the subscriber will not be covered by the insurance. This includes:

    • The addition of equipment normally sent by the post office. Any addition of a new digital receiver, I.R. Blaster, or other equipment which is normally sent via the post office.
    • Any dispatch caused by the refusal of the subscriber to follow the instructions of our Technical Support staff.
    • The installation of an additional video distribution connector.
    • Any installation or modification of a tower or a stayed mast not justified by a technical problem, nor confirmed by our Technical Support Staff.
    • Any modification to the standard professional installation not justified by a technical problem, nor confirmed by our Technical Support Staff

  • Interruption of service caused by a misuse of the equipment.

  • Any misuse of equipment or any interruption of service caused by the subscriber and/or a third party other than Look Communications Inc will cause expenses which will not be covered by the insurance plan. This includes:

    • Any modification with the standard professional installation carried out without the agreement of Look Communications Inc or the one of its` agents
    • Any breaking of equipment caused by an abusive use of the equipment provided by Look Communications Inc.

  • Services relating to DSL and dialup access.

  • Any peripheral belonging to the subscriber and not having been provided by Look Communications Inc.

  • The return of equipment
    No technician will be sent to reclaim the equipment provided by Look Communications Inc. In the case of rented equipment, a pre-paid postage box will be sent via mail.

Terms and Conditions

  • The premium required in order to subscribe to the PSRE is 5,00$ for a minimum 12-month cycle.
  • Upon end of the Term, the renewal will be done automatically for a new a 12-month cycle with the same terms and conditions.
  • The premium is applied monthly to the account of the subscriber.
  • In the event of cancellation of the PSRE by the subscriber before expiry of the 12-month minimum term, Look reserves the right to apply any charges previously withheld within the framework of the PSRE which have occurred between the moment of subscription/renewal and cancellation of said subscription. In this case, Look will refund the premium received during this same period.
  • Cancellation for non-payment: Look reserves the right to cancel the PRSE after non-payment of 3 consecutive monthly periods. In such cases Look reserves the right to apply any charges previously withheld within the framework of the PSRE which have occurred between the moment of subscription/renewal and cancellation of said subscription

Warranty
This foregoing warranty is in addition to any statutory warranties in any applicable legislation. The Terms and Conditions of this warranty are not intended to exclude or limit your rights under those statutes.

Customer Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
You automatically accept all of the Terms and Conditions as stated herein by subscribing to and continuing to use the Service. You further agree to abide by all of the rules which may be changed by us from time to time by notice published on our website.

Definitions

Call of justified service:
The dispatch of a Look Certified Technician with the goal of re-establishing full functionality of service offered by the company, conditional on the existing on-site standard installation with no alterations made to the original installation by the client and/or any other third party.

Standard professional Installation:
Service installation offered by Look Communications Inc. performed by a Look Certified Technician within the guidelines of quality & safety established by the company.

Abusive Use:
Negligent use of the equipment or use not within conformity with the recommendations of Look Communications Inc. or the supplied operators manual.
